The last couple weeks seems like a roller coaster when it comes to the stock market.

 

With the hectic nature of these last couple years, chances are you barely remember those declines. Investors are human and do a great job of retroactively revising their memories during times like these.

 

When the financial markets are in turmoil and account balances start to decline, there is a strong urge to ask your advisor to “do something” to stop any perceived losses. It is often the case that staying the course or doing nothing, proves to be the better path. That’s why it’s best to stick to the plan your advisor has built and to remember the long-term plan. Any changes should be made due to changes in your life, not changes in the markets.
